Storyboard

Lately I have been doing a lot of storyboard work for different commercial agencies.
It is very different work from what I am used to, but I actually enjoy it. The deadlines are allways super tight, and you really have to be very focused and get the job done as best as you can. That can mean working late nights and weekends. But like I said, I actually enjoy the rush.
The annoying thing is, that I can't publish any of my storyboard work yet, as the projects are still in production, which makes it kinda hard to attrack new clients in that field.

So I sat down and made these two samples, so I have something to show at least.

  1. HAHA can't publish -I am getting that a lot: 'Can we see what you are currently working on?' Makes life awkward as potential new clients seem to think I have something to hide!

Nice samples. Maybe I should consider doing the same.

  2. Yeah, that is a very common situation. I remmember when I first started out in illustration. At least 2 years went by before I actually had an online portfolio comprised mostly of proffessional stuff.

If you have time, I think it is a very good idea to take a couple of days to do stuff like this. It is very usefull when you talk with potential clients. Good luck with the hunt

  3. These are great! I love the way you have shown the first board to be at night, the colour palate is great without being too dark
